Perdido

Hey readers, Bucky here! Usually with all the social activities and homework I have, I don’t usually find time to watch T.V. But one of the shows that I have taken a huge interest in is LOST. When LOST came out I was just 8 years old. I remember my teachers and older friends talking about how great this show actually was. Six years later I found myself surfing around the internet and I found the Pilot episode of LOST. When I watched it I was immediately hooked, even though the show was then over. I was kind of bummed out that I couldn’t keep up with the show as it progressed but then I realized that I had access to every episode and their wasn’t really a wait for when I could actually watch them. Once I started watching LOST I couldn’t stop and I’m currently on season 5. One of the things that I love about LOST is that people that I really hated at the beginning of the show now are probably my favorite characters and the people that didn’t really seem to important are now the main characters. This is very true and to me, this means to never judge a book by its cover. I can’t believe that they are traveling back and forth even though they don’t want to and that now the shows are switching back and forth every 3 minutes. I can’t wait to continue watching LOST and I guess I’m going to have to find another show to be addicted to after I’m done with this one. Sincerely,
Bucky  Buck

Bucky and Addictions

Hello readers, Bucky here! I’ve been thinking about many things lately but something that’s been going through my mind a lot is how people are addicted to certain things. Sure people are addicted to drugs and things that are bad for them but I’m talking about things that we do in our everyday lives. Specifically when I think of this, I think of Facebook. When I was just in 5th grade having an Email was pretty much the only way to ask questions or to talk to your friends with. Now I’m using my email less and less and actually sending messages through Facebook. I can’t really remember a day when I haven’t logged on to my Facebook to see if I have any new notifications or to see who’s online. Some people don’t even text anymore but use a Facebook app on their phones to send messages. It doesn’t bother me that people are on Facebook all the time; it just makes me wonder what technology we are going to be using in 10 years to communicate with each other. This might be an idea that is way out their but I believe that Facebook might start replacing games that people buy because you can play them anytime you want as long as you have an internet connection. In conclusion I think that some people might just be to dependent on it and it would be really cool if Facebook would “break down” for a couple of days, too see what people would do.

Finals make Bucky Sad :(

Hello readers, Bucky here! I cant believe it but its already November. This year has passed so quickly and its amazing that our next vacation is Christmas break.  Even though I am very happy that school is going by so fast I'm also starting to worry about something that I've never had to worry about before; Finals. One of the problems I had last year In 8th grade was Math class. No matter how hard I studied and how much homework I turned in, I could never really grasp the content we were learning and imbed it into my memory. Pretty much when we went to the next unit I would kinda forget the details of what we had just learned. The reason I am worried about Finals is because I'm going to have to study like crazy during dead week and have to try to remember what I have learned. I also don’t like the idea of each Test we get being 20 percent of our grade. At the  beginning of the year I slacked off a bit in some classes and my grades went down but now I'm trying harder to get them up again and when finals come I'm going to have to learn all the stuff I wasn’t really into at the beginning of the year. One of my plans to overcome my dilemma Is to start studying very soon so I don’t have to cram during dead week. To end on a happy/fun note, I'm really exited to go on our class trips!

Back to School

Hello readers Bucky here! Well it only seemed like yesterday but my vacation is already over! I’m really glad I came back to Minnesota for October break because it is just so beautiful here with all the orange leaves. I actually didn’t really do many vacationy things during the break but instead helped paint the outside of our new house. I also took many photos and am going to be making a slideshow of them for my blog. One of my favorite parts about my trip was seeing the state completely change and go from being completely green to red, yellow and orange. Again I was sucked into the wraths of Target but didn’t buy anything there this vacation. It was really funny walking around town because all the kids from Minnesota are supposed to be in school and a lot of people thought that I was skipping class. On journey back, we had to wake up at 5 am and start driving to the airport. I was really tired and couldn’t wait until I got back to my apartment. Sadly the last airplane ride I had was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced in my life. The plane was really hot and got delayed for an extra hour before we even took off. If that wasn’t enough there were also no TV’S on the back of the seats and the movie that was playing on the little TV didn’t work. If that and that weren’t enough then I guess the screaming babies in the row in front of me took care of that. Well now I’m finally back and ready to start school again. See you later, love Bucky!

Vacation is here!

Hello readers Bucky here! So I just got back to my summer house in Minnesota. I’m not tired at all because there is only a 30 minute time difference!  I had one of the smoothest travels ever and there were no complications. I’m actually staying at my grandparents’ house because our house is under construction and we are re-doing it. Everything looks so different here in the states because it is fall. It’s been almost 7 years since I have been to the States during October. Minnesota is as cold as ever and every night the temperature has dropped below freezing but eventually warms up during the day. I can’t wait to start taking pictures of all the orange leaves and all the wildlife here. Even though it’s about 50 degrees outside I think I’m going to jump into the water and see if I don’t die. One of the things that I always forgot is how big the portions of food are that they give in the United States but also how good the food is to. Nothing beats a good hamburger and fries in the United States. Another thing I love about the US is how fast the internet is here. Back to the lake, I was really bummed out that It was so cold here because I was looking forward to going wakeboarding but I guess that’s going to have to wait until next year. See you later, love Bucky!

Buckys Opinion on Traveling

Hello readers Bucky here! In a few days I get a break from school and October break starts. I’m really excited because I’m actually going back to the United States for a week which is something I normally do not do at this time of the year. To get back to my summer home it takes a whole day of traveling in cars, trains and airplanes (actually I really don’t ride on a train). One of my favorite but also my least favorite part about going to the United States is traveling. Even though planes and cars travel at super speed it takes long to get to them than it does to actually travel. Ever since 9/11 airport security has more than tripled and the journey to get from your home to your airplanes departing gate is so much harder than it was before. I know that all the additional security is necessary but sometimes I really hate it. On the contrary I also really enjoy traveling. I like the fact that I get to ride on a plane and even though it does get boring after 5 hours of constant sitting it is still kind of fun. I actually like when there are TV’s on the back of each seat of the plane because then it seems like I’m in a movie theatre. Let’s just put it this way, once I’m on the plane I really like flying but if I’m stuck in a huge line or the plane is delayed I really start getting annoyed. I can’t wait for vacation and Bucky says bye!

Viral Videos

Hello readers Bucky Here! In the past few years the price of video cameras and recording devices has dropped incredibly. For example about 5 years ago a decent video camera costed about 400 dollars. Now in 2010 you can find one for about half that price. With the incredible price drops, millions of people are getting their hands on video cameras and putting videos on the internet. Almost all of you know of YouTube and how many videos are on that site. Out of those thousands of videos there are a special few that are called viral videos. Viral videos are videos that are put up on the internet and they become incredibly popular, usually in a short time. You may have heard of the famous “Charlie bit me” and Shane Dawson’s videos and those are great examples of viral videos. People who have viral videos on YouTube or other video sites usually have other benefits other than being famous on YouTube, for example some people even get paid for their work. I love watching funny/interesting videos on YouTube and a really great way to get caught up on the latest videos is by watching RayWilliamJohnsons’s videos. Ray William Johnson reviews viral videos and then just talks about them for fun. Usually viral video happen out of the blue and don’t really make sense so I hope that one day I find something really unusual that becomes viral.

Bucky's Beautiful Photography Bloggy

Good evening China, Australia, Norway and wherever you may be. As you have noticed I have said good evening to a few specific places around the world and to everyone that is reading this blog. This is supposed to help me introduce one of my favorite hobbies, which is Photography. The reason I related photography to those different places around the world is because I love to travel and me and my family travel all around the world on almost every vacation. The most important ways that I remember a trip and unique aspects about different cities, countries and cultures is by capturing moments with my Camera. I have loved taking pictures of things since I was really little and always used my parent’s camera to take pictures of everything that was in view. As many people know from last year I also like taking video and making “movies” out of them for projects but I think photography is a lot more fun because every picture can have 2 or more viewpoints and everyone can look at them in a different way. Photography is also something that’s really enjoyable because there is no wrong or right way to do it and no one can tell you that you’re taking photos wrong. For my 14th birthday I got the best birthday gift in the world! No, it wasn’t a pony or a big supply of cheese but it was a really nice camera. This was an awesome gift because there is an infinite amount of ways that I can experiment with the art of photography and it will be a hobby that will never get boring like MW2. To conclude this blog entry I just want to say that if you want to start a hobby that is very fun and addictive (not drugs) photography is something that anybody can do and it’s almost like preserving time.

Blog Pilot

My name is Bucky Buck and I am hoping to start this blog and have it focus around the most important day to day events in my life. I want to include my academic achievements and also my life in Caracas Venezuela. I want to talk a lot about my life in Caracas to give an example of what it is really like after living here for 7 years. I am 5 foot 8 inches, have red hair and like to sleep. I really enjoy nature and that is perfect being that I live in a sub-tropical climate with many outdoor adventures waiting for me. I also love animals and wildlife and of course living in a sub-tropical country there is wildlife everywhere. Both my parents work and I have a sister that’s in 6th grade. Many people think I’m very funny and I have no trouble making new friends where ever I go. I really love all types of music but hate country! I play the saxophone and am trying to like it better. I’m very late in the series but am addicted to the show LOST. I am a hardworking person and love the feeling of accomplishing something that took a while to do. I can’t stand bullying and when kids get picked on for doing nothing. One of my favorite things in the world is traveling to my lake house in the United States for summer vacation. I love wakeboarding, tubing and just hanging out by the lake. Something that annoys me a lot is complainers. I really don’t like it when people keep on complaining about something when they don’t try to fix it. I think that the key to being successful in school is to understand what is being taught and as long as you do that and complete your homework you will do fine in school. Being respectful is also a very important trait to have. People will like you a lot more if you are nice to them and you can make a lot of new friends by being friendly.
I luv Nature
